Dear Timothy Lutheran Preschool Families,
With a heavy heart, I share with you that Timothy Lutheran Preschool will remain closed for the remaining days of the 2019-20 school year, after the declaration made on Wednesday, April 1st by Governor Kemp. I had a small sense of hope that we would have the opportunity to gather together again this school year, but I recognize the need for the closure and the love that is hidden within that announcement.
The Early Childhood Education Board and the Executive Committee of Timothy Lutheran Church have determined that families will not be required to pay tuition for the months of April and May. If you have paid tuition in full for the year or have already paid tuition for the month of April and would like a refund, please reach out to me directly. The Preschool will be honoring re funds considering this crisis facing our world. If your family is able and feels called to continue to support our program during this time and would like to contribute your April/May tuition or a percentage of your tuition, your blessings to our program will be accepted.
I know we will miss many of our fun and traditional year-end events here at Timothy… Carnival Day, Muffins for Moms, Family Camp fire, and Beach Week. My heart is sad from knowing we aren’t going to be able to hold those events this year, but I know that in that sadness there is love for keeping our families safe at home during this time. We are hoping to hold the Transitional Kindergarten/Pre-Kindergarten graduation at some point in the summertime, when it becomes safe to have a gathering of people again. While it may not look like our previous graduations, I want to honor our students for this milestone and for the families who have so lovingly been apart of our program here at Timothy. More details regarding this graduation will be released at a later date.
Our staff will continue to remain in community with you and the students online as much as possible with ideas and storybook videos during the remainder of the school year. We love seeing pictures of your little ones in action, playing, learning and growing. We all miss them so much! We will continue to do weekly “Learning Bags” for our families each Wednesday from 11am-1pm while it remains a safe practice for us to do so. Please watch for additional emails about those pick-ups.
We continue to pray for our families, the community and the world around us as we navigate these challenging times. While I know these times are difficult for the children to understand and grasp, as parents we are struggling too. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, if you need anything at all. We are all in this together and I know that God will carry us through these trying times. Thank you for your love and support of our program at Timothy where “love grows here”.
Grace and Peace, Ms, Kristin

At Timothy, we will teach your child the skills and practice the behaviors needed to succeed in later learning. The children enjoy activities that build academic readiness, creative thinking, and social skills at their developmental level while learning that God is all important and that everything we have is given by Him.
|We recognize that you, as parents, face many choices regarding your childs early education and we encourage you to consider our offerings here at Timothy as you prepare for the upcoming school year. The following information should be useful in deciding where to place your child next year. Please contact the Director, Kristin Freeman at 770-924-7995 or e-mail TLC.ECEDirector@comcast.net to schedule a tour or discuss the program.|
|Our families will tell you that our teachers and assistants are the absolute best in the area, and I hope that you will join us to find out. The majority of our teachers have a college degree, and several hold Bachelor Degrees in Education, or comparable certification. Our average tenure for current staff members is 7 years, and I can tell you that they aren’t here for the money… they love your children and love their Lord and this shows in all that they do.|
