Dear Timothy Lutheran Preschool Families,
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6-7
May Jesus’ peace come to you during these times of uncertainty. I pray you and your family are staying healthy and figuring out a new normal as we work to “social distance” ourselves in the hopes of remaining healthy and making a difference in the world around us. I am writing to update you on our plans here at Timothy Lutheran Preschool as we navigate these rough waters.
The Early Childhood Education Board and I met over the weekend to determine steps going forward for our program. As previously stated in our message last week, we will be closing for the two weeks from March 16-27, 2020, per the Cherokee County School District closing. We will miss you and your kiddos during this time, but please be on the look-out for email correspondence from our teachers on “things to do” at home with your little ones. We hope you can play and learn along with them during this school break. During our meeting, we reviewed our Family Handbook and determined that information regarding “Inclement Weather Days” can be used for this circumstance as well. On page 5 of our Family Handbook, it states “Additionally, any inclement weather days beyond five, will be made up at the end of the school year and NOT during Spring or Winter breaks.” We have determined that we will be using that policy for this unfortunate closing we are experiencing currently. Therefore, we will be extending the school year by one week in May with the final day of school being held on Friday, May 22nd. Pre-Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 7 p.m. Tuition will remain the same with this school extension occurring, with full monthly tuition due in April and ½ monthly tuition due in May.
We believe it is more important than ever to be a light for Christ and to lift up our neighbors and friends during these difficult times. We continue to pray for our families, the sick, the helpers and our nation during this time. And we look forward to having the opportunity to play, learn and grow with your little ones in a few short weeks. Thank you for your love and support and we are so blessed to have you be a part of our program where “love grows here”.
Grace and Peace,

At Timothy, we will teach your child the skills and practice the behaviors needed to succeed in later learning. The children enjoy activities that build academic readiness, creative thinking, and social skills at their developmental level while learning that God is all important and that everything we have is given by Him.
|We recognize that you, as parents, face many choices regarding your childs early education and we encourage you to consider our offerings here at Timothy as you prepare for the upcoming school year. The following information should be useful in deciding where to place your child next year. Please contact the Director, Kristin Freeman at 770-924-7995 or e-mail TLC.ECEDirector@comcast.net to schedule a tour or discuss the program.|
|Our families will tell you that our teachers and assistants are the absolute best in the area, and I hope that you will join us to find out. The majority of our teachers have a college degree, and several hold Bachelor Degrees in Education, or comparable certification. Our average tenure for current staff members is 7 years, and I can tell you that they aren’t here for the money… they love your children and love their Lord and this shows in all that they do.|
